Lots of good conference action highlighted week 8.

UGA had probably the biggest win, the #3 Bulldogs won the Game of the Week by the score of 39 - 36 over Texas A&M. This was a great, evenly matched game, but UGA dominated the final frame, scoring 22 points in the 4th quarter to get the win. Star sophomore QB Jaden Rashada had a great game, throwing for 409 yards, 5 TDs to 1 INT and completing 24/39. Their legendary WR London Humphreys made play after play, with 5 catches for 159 yards and 4 TDs, becoming the career TD reception leader in school history, breaking Terrence Edwards' record set back in 2002.

As usual the week saw several major upsets. #4 Boston College and #5 Alabama both lost to unranked conference foes in Louisville and Arkansas, respectively.

The National Defensive Player of the Week is Joe Shimko from Bowling Green. He had 7 tackles, 3 sacks and 1 forced fumble in their 38-17 win over Eastern Michigan.

The National Offensive Player of the Week was Lond Humphreys from Georgia.
