This game would be a totally different experience if not allowed to load actual roster names and likenesses. As much as I like recruiting to play with the current team is a major plus although I do agree the athletes should be paid. But that goes for college jersey sales as well.

Usually, I am on the side of the players and gamers, but in this particular case, I have to take EA's side. Sam Keller doesn't have a leg to stand on in this situation. This will get dismissed the day it is brought to the court.
First of all, in college football games, the naming of the rosters is done by you and I who use magazines, websites and player databases to name the rosters. Just because EA gives us the ability to edit them and write the names in is not illegal by any stretch of the rulebook.
Also, Just because Sam Keller wore #9 and played for ASU, and there was a "QB #9" for ASU who happened to be 6'4 and 228 lbs, while similar to sam keller, by law, because his name was not on it, was not Sam Keller.
While Keller can say that is using his likeness, by law, bc his name was not being used, he does not have to be consulted and/or asked bc technically it isn't him, especially since we are able to edit every player in the game.
He will not have a chance.

and by the way njd, yes he does want to get compensated bc I live in Tempe, AZ, and he has three bartending jobs that he works 6 days a week, lol. I've actually hung out w/ him a couple times, believe me, after having a chance @ the NFL and bartending 6 nights a week, while rather lucrative, he could definitely use the cake.

I will give Keller props though, he sure does serve a mean Jack and Coke. He has been the reason I've gone home early from his bars more than once, lmao.
