MIAMI, FL:
NO SPARANO FOR MIAMI; SMALL-SCHOOL MONCREIFF BROUGHT IN

In a strange turn of events, Miami Dolphins head-coach-to-be Tony Sparano decided not to accept the job offered to him. Miami had to scramble for a new head coach, and they explored the usual candidates. Brian Billick, Bill Cowher..... all of them decided to stay. Then they found a man that they thought would be perfect for the job. Joseph Moncrief, an offensive assistant at Northwest Missouri State, where draft prospects Xavier Omon and Mike Peterson are set to come from, was interviewed. Dolphins staff was reportedly "blown away!" and he was hired. Here is a transcript of his first press conference.

CBS: Hello Joseph, congratulations on the new job. How are you going to handle moving from the small school level to the NFL?
MONCRIEF: I held my post at Northwest Missouri State for quite a while. It will be a challenge, but I think I can handle it.
ESPN: Joseph, how will you handle the situation with the #1 pick in this year's draft? There are so many star players, how will you choose?
MONCRIEF: There are a few players I am considering drafting. I am also thinking about trading down as my new team has a lot of holes they need to fill.
FOX: How will you handle the quarterback situation in Miami? Will you keep John Beck, or will you want "your guy"?
MONCRIEF: We will just have to see.
DOLPHINS NETWORK: Once again congratulations and good luck on your new job Mr. Moncrief

(Side note: update coming with free agency/draft ideas)
