Madison, WI- Gary Anderson's arrival at Wisconsin was met with much enthusiasm after Bret Bielema bolted for Arkansas. Anderson led his Utah State team to within a missed field goal of upsetting the Badgers at Camp Randall last year, a game that saw Joel Stave take over as starter over Danny O'Brien. This time, however, it was Stave's turn to be benched in favor of a newcomer.

With the offense sputtering, and the Massachusetts Minutemen leading the game, Coach Anderson went with Juco transfer Tanner McEvoy. McEvoy led the Badgers on late scoring drives in the final minutes of both halves, which led the Badgers to a tight 35-28 victory over the Minutemen.

Pittsburgh- Off-season acquisition Scott Hairston certainly made a good impression on his new team and fans as he went 3-4 with a 2-run home run that started a rally to lead the Cubs past the host Pirates 4-3.

Cubs starter Matt Garza and Pirates starter Francisco Liriano dueled through the first four innings, until the Pirates broke through with 3 runs in their half of the 5th. Liriano looked in control up until the Hairston drove his 2-run shot and Welington Castillo followed with a solo shot to tie the game at 3 in the 7th, both came with 2 outs in the inning.

Jared Hughes uncorked a wild pitch to Hairston in the 8th, which allowed Darwin Barney to score the go-ahead run.

Carlos Marmol pitched a perfect 9th for the save.

When the Bucks traded Andrew Bogut for Monta Ellis, the playoffs became the goal. After coming up short in the lockout 2011 season, the Bucks shocked the NBA and took the central division by a game over the Chicago Bulls. Brandon Jennings made the all-star team, and was also named to the 2nd team All-NBA team.

Finishing with a 43-39 record, the Bucks faced the Philadelphia 76ers in the opening round. After winning game one, the Bucks dropped the next 4 and were knocked out.

Philadelphia would go on to lose the NBA Finals to the eventual Champion LA Lakers in six games, where Kobe Bryant was named MVP.

Jim Boylan was replaced by Dorell Seymour as head coach.

Monta Ellis exercised his player option to remain with the Bucks.

In the NBA draft, the Bucks picked James McAdoo from North Carolina with the 19th overall pick, and selected Christian Watford from Indiana with their 2nd round pick.

Mike Dunleavy, Joel Pryzbilla and Marquis Daniels were not offered contracts. Drew Gooden was released for cap space.

Beno Udrih re-signed with the Bucks, along with Samuel Dalembert.

D.J. Augustin was signed as insurance at the starting point guard spot in case Brandon Jennings signed elsewhere.

Jennings decided to sign with the Bucks.

The Bucks 2013-2014 roster currently sports:

PG- Jennings, Augustin
SG- Ellis, Lamb
SF- McAdoo, Harris, Watford
PF- Ilyasova, Henson
C- Sanders, Udoh, Dalembert

St. Paul- It isn't often that you see arguably the top team in the NBA go into a match-up with a middle of the pack team and see them dismantled. The Timberwolves showed that records don't mean a whole lot as they easily took care of the Milwaukee Bucks 104-67.

Nothing could go right offensively as the Bucks shot a season worst 29% from the field to go along with a miserably low 67 points.

Miami- Even though Miami was not playing the their potential, only 5-6 on the year, the Bucks knew they would have to play almost flawless basketball to get a win in South Beach. Nearly flawless was still not good enough as the Heat took a 96-88 win.

The Bucks have shown throughout the start of the year that win the shots, especially the 3 pointers, are falling, that they can beat anyone in the league. You can see the results of a poor shooting night, as a 16% night from behind the arc added to the frustration of a 37% shooting night overall.

LeBron James couldnt be stopped, pouring in 45 points, missing only 9 of 29 shots. Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh added double doubles for the Heat.

Brandon Jennings dropped 22 and Monta Ellis added 21, but the bench scoring was not there as only 14 points were scored.
