Why 2K messed up by not having My Crew Mode

As you all know, NBA 2K12 has no my crew mode. It wasn't just a little tiny feature of the game, it was arguably what made "the game". For most of us at least. Some of you are strictly off-line players, and thats fine. But what if they took out association mode, thats what losing my crew feels like to us.

Now even though online is still available on 2k11 till march 2012, noone plays it anymore. Its sad, all those great memories playing arguably the greatest sports mode in gaming history. Staying up until 2 AM, playing crew game after crew game and then checking the clock and seeing that you got work early the next day, but you still keep on playing.

Yeah, my crew mode was addicting. No question about it. However, it had some major problems. It lagged terribly if anyone had a bad connection or it was 4v4. Their were the cheesers such as the 7'6 centers or people trying to charge you everytime, but we countered that with a 3-2 zone and not pressing turbo up the court and we got by. And we kept on playing even with all those problems, because the co-op mode for 2k was significantly more fun then madden's co-op 3v3 mode or any other game.

I know the xbox 360 also had a hacking problem, most notably the 400 foot player who took up half the court lol, but what about the PS3 users? And since it was such a intriguing part of the game, specifically because you can play with your friends and take your my player from my player mode that you put in countless hours to polish, why couldnt you have fixed the lags, got rid of hacking on the 360, and added more features to it?

Even if you kept it exactly the same, you could have at least included in the game. For many of us, my player mode is pointless if we cant take our player online and show it off. Also, for many of us, My Crew Mode is where we showed off not only our individual skill, but teamwork. And its the only mode in the game where you can co-op, other then team-up mode which picks the team for you, the player you use, and most people quit in 3 minutes in that mode.
