Drafted by the Bucks in the early second round, Tyler was pleased. He had a terrible combine overall, losing every game, and forcing too many bad shots. His defense was terrible, he was blown by every time by the likes of Turner and Wall.
In the Summer Circuit, he stepped up and played well enough to make the team, but only good enough to get 6 minutes per game for the 1st game of the season.
In his 2nd game, Tyler dropped 24 points along with 4 blocks and 10 assists.
Tyler increasingly got better, eventually was named the starter and made the All-Star team as a rookie. He lead the league in points per game.
Still, his team sat barely over .500. If the Bucks wanted to make the playoffs, Tyler had to learn how to share the ball. And he did just that, while the team went on a 29 game winning streak, and getting the #3 seed in the playoffs.
Tyler was named ROY, MVP, NBA 1st team, and experts still questioned the Bucks.
Miami swept the Bucks 3-0 in the season series and were the favorites to win it all.
In the 1st round, Tyler led the Bucks to a sweep over the Pacers, but the experts still were not convinced. The Bucks squeezed wins against the Pacers, and didn't look dominant even though they swept.
Up next were the Celtics. In game 1, The Bucks went on a 20-2 run and ended up winning the Game by 50. It was a shocker, The Bucks suddenly looked unstoppable. Bucks eventually win the series 4-1.
Up next, were the Miami Heat. In game 1, Bucks down by 15 in the 4th. Tyler rallies the Bucks back within 5 with a minute left. Tyler steals the ball and leads a fastbreak dunk. Down by 3, Heat score again. 5 point game again and Tyler hits a 3 with 25 seconds left. 2 point game and Jennings gets a steal and a fastbreak layup. Tie game. Lebron drives the ball to the hoop after blowing past Maggette. Tyler blocks the crap out of LeBron and with 10 seconds left, Tyler runs up the court, calls for the ball. 5 seconds left now, pump fakes, crossover to right fadeaway J. Booom. Bucks have lead with 2.9 seconds left. Heat call a timeout. Draw a play for Wade to hit a game winning 3, Tyler runs up and blocks Wade to secure the win. Bucks go on to sweep their second playoff series in a dramatic fashion.
In the Finals, Kobe shot 22% overall as Tyler leads the Bucks to a 4-2 finals victory. The unthinkable happened. The Bucks were a scrub team barely over .500 and come out of nowhere in a huge winning streak and then dominate the playoffs.
Tyler becomes a free agent, and does the even more unthinkable. He signs with the rival Bulls. Bucks fans rage harder then Cavs fans because Tyler won a title and Lebron didn't.
