WHAT WE LEARNED

Jon Moxon isn't just a flash in the pan. Moxon followed up his 326 yard, 3 Touchdown game in week 1, with a 308 yard, 4 Touchdown game. A performance that earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award. Moxo, a 6th round pick who is starting for an injured Jared Goff, out dueled 8th overall pick Joe Kane. Moxon has looked every bit the part of an NFL quarterback, while Kane has looked pedestrian at best. Another performance like this, and Moxon will have a stranglehold on the starting job, even when Goff is healthy.

Darnell Jefferson is good, too. Really really good. Jefferson rushed for 117 yards and a touchdown. It was his second consecutive 100+ yard game. He also appears to have a strangle hold on the starting spot.

The Lions defense is going to be better than anyone thought. SUre, it is only two games, but they held the Saints to just 312 yards of offense, and forced two Saint turnovers. Vontae Mack recorded his third sack on the season. Rookie Kemani Barrett recorded his first NFL interception.

WHAT'S NEXT?
The Lions trave to Philadelphia to face the 0-2 Eagles on Thursday night. The Eagles are coming off of a 13-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
