Lions Dominate Defending NFC Champion Cowboys to open 2022

What we learned:

Vontae Mack is gonna be a stud. Mack had sacks on the first two plays of the game. Although he didn;t record a sack the rest of the game, he set the tone for a dominating defensive performance. Not only does he get to the quarterback, but he has the discipline of a 10 year veteran. On at least 4 other occasions, he forced Cowboy QB Dak Prescott to throw the ball away on the run.

The Rookies appear to be the real deal. Jon Moxon threw for 326 yards and 3 TDs. Darnell Jefferson rushed for 106 yards and a pair of TDs. Rod Tidwell caught a pair of TD passes. Zaire Byars caught 8 passes. LB Alvin Mack hadjust 5 tackles, but was all over the field.

The Lions can run the ball. Jefferson, and Jamaal Williams combined for 193 rushing yards, and 2 TDs. The Lions ran the ball 41 times, and ran it very well. The running game really opened up the passing game.
