When thinking of the LA Lakers franchise,the names that pops up is a who-who of basketball royalty. Kareem,Baylor,Wilt,The Logo,Magic,Worthy,Shaq,Kobe. Even in the coaching ranks,Riley,Jackson. But with the last two hirings,the model franchise have gone from kings to court jesters. Mike Brown,a Gregg Popovich disciple was not the answer now with the hiring of Mike Dan'toni,the Lakers once again has acccepted mediocre ball in the City Of Angels.

Is the media to blame for overhyping???

Various debates has been made about today's sport athletes. Before they are stars on the field,they are labeled "superstars". Case in point,Cam Newton has been off the charts in his first two games but it hasnt equaled to any wins. Lebron James (the poster child for labeled athletes) has won 1 MVP trophy but has been to the NBA finals twice,both losses. His performance in the 4th Q in the Mavs series opened my eyes even more to my opening question.
