TIGERS WIN TWO OF THREE IN ATLANTA
The Tigers face the Braves in a three game series featuring the two teams with the best records in the Major Leagues.
The Tigers came back from a 5-2 deficit, to beat the Braves 7-5 in game one. Jose Agua (10) homered, and drove in two. Kyle Dutcher (28) added a home run of his own, RIley Greene, Javier Baez, and Andy Ibanes also had RBI. Will Vest (2-0) earned the win in relief. Matt Olson (24) homered, and drove in three for the Braves.
The Braves evened the series with a 6-5 win in game two. Matt Olson (25) homered and drove in three for the second straight game. Austin Riley (15) and Orlando Arcia also had home runs. Spencer Strider allowed three runs on seven hits in six innings to earn his 11th win of the season. Riley Greene drove in three runs for the Tigers. Jack Flaherty (7-2) took the loss.
The Tigers scored a run in the top of the ninth, and hung on for a 403 win in game three, and a series win in Atlanta. Jose Agua (11) homered and drove in two. Riley Greene and Gio Urshela added RBI. Shelby Miller (3-0) earned the win in relief. Alex Lange picked up his 28th save of the season. Adam Duvall (7) homered twice for the Braves.
The Tigers will enjoy an off day on Thursday, then start a six game home stand, with three against the Chicago White Sox (21-55) followed by three with the Phillies (38-36).

TIGERS SWEEP ASTROS
The Tigers shut out the Astros 5-0 in game one. Matt Manning (9-2) struck out eight over six innings, allowing seven hits. Riley Greene (13) and Mark Canha (11) homered. Canha had two RBI.
Detroit beat former Tiger Justin Verlander in game two, 4-2. Jake Rogers (10) hit a two run home run, and Kyle Dutcher added his league leading 27th homer. Casey Mize (8-3) earned the win with five and two thirds innings of one run ball.
The Tigers completed the sweep of the Astros with a 7-1 victory. Tarkik Skubal (14-0) allowed one run on seven hits over seven innings to earn the win. Spencer Torkelson hit his 23rd home run. Jake Rogers added his 11th homer.
The Tigers now head to Atlanta, to face the Braves (54-17) in a battle of the teams with the two best records in the Major League.

TIGERS SWEEP NATIONALS
Game one went the Tiger's way, 8-2. Matt Vierling (3) homered, and drove in two in the win. Tarik Skubal (13-0) allowed two runs in seven innings, to earn the win.
The Tigers walked off the Nationals in game two, 3-2. Kyle Dutcher (25) homered in the bottom of the ninth, to send the fans home happy. Dutcher had two RBI in the game.
The Tigers slugged their way past the Nationals in game three, 13-4. Spencer Torkelson (22) homered twice, and drove in four. Mark Canha (10), Riley Greene (12) and Kyle Dutcher (26) also homered. Canha had three RBI.
The Tigers now head out on a six game road trip, with three in Houston, followed by three in Atlanta against the Braves.

TIGERS SWEEP BREWERS
Detroit won game one, 5-3. Jake Rogers (9) homered and drove in two. Kerry Carpenter (8) also homered for the Tigers. Jack Flaherty was outstanding, going seven innings, allowing just one run on two hits, with four strikeouts. Alex Lange earned his 25th save.
Detroit won game two, 5-1. Gio Urshela hit his first home run of the season, and drove in two. Matt Vierling (2) and Javier Baez (14) also homered. Matt Manning (8-2) allowed a run on eight hits in six and two thirds innings to pick up the win.
Detroit completed the sweep of the Brewers with an 802 win on Sunday. Javier Baez (15) homered, and drove in four. Jose Agua (9), Kyle Dutcher (24), and Spencer Torkelson (20) also hit home runs for the Tigers. Casey Mize (7-3) allowed two runs on four hits in six and a third innings, to earn the win. Shelby Miller pitched the final inning and a third, to earn his first save of the season.
The Tigers have an off day on Monday, then host the Washington Nationals (21-44) for a three game series, beginning on Tuesday evening.
