For the second straight game, the Tigers jumped out to a 4-0 first inning lead. They made it hold up, winning 6-4. Kyle Dutcher hit a three run homer in the first. Parker Meadows homered in the seventh. Jack Flaherty (1-0) earned the win, going 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits, with 5 strikeouts. Jason Foley earned his first save. The Tigers completed the sweep over the Dodgers with a 5-3 win. Kyle Dutcher hit a pair of home runs, with solo shots in the second, and sixth innings. Riley Greene drove in three. Reese Olson started, going six innings, allowing two runs on 4 hits, with an astounding 12 strikeouts, but he didn't factor in the decision. Beau Brieske (1-0) earned the win in relief. Jason Foley earned his second save. The Dodgers got RBI from Shohei Ohtani, Teoscar Hernandez, and Chris Taylor.
