Lucas Sims and Gregory Soto combined for a scoreless 9th.
Detroit took a 1-0 lead in the 2nd, on Schoop's solo home run. The Yankees tied the game in the 3rd, on an RBI single by D.J. LeMahieu. Miguel Cabrera homered in the 7th, to put the Tigers up 2-1.
