The Redskins did everything they needed to in order to pick up the preseason win at home.
Washington Redskins 1st team, did a satisfactory job with the Patriots 1st teamers. The offense was able to move down the field on their first possession and get a field goal. The defense was not able to contain the Patriots running game. Steve Riddley and the back-ups were able to have their way with the defense. Robert Griffin III, spoke right before half-time and said "It feels great to be out on the field with my teammates. There is a lot that we need to improve on before the season begins, so this is why we have preseason."
Second stringers began the second half with Kirk Cousins behind the center. Cousins started off shaky but, wound up connecting with Santana Moss in the end zone that started a big 4th quarter rally. The secondary really put on the coverage getting two interceptions with one going for six. "Mallet was dissecting our secondary during the 3rd quarter, and while he was getting himself in a rhythm; we turned up the pressure and started playing a lot more physical in the 4th quarter." Phillip Thomas replied when asked what turned it around for the defense to win the game for the team.
Owner, Kevin D. was impressed with what he saw on the field tonight and expectations were set for the remainder of the preseason. Kevin D. spoke with Coach Gruden. Gruden spoke with the media, alerting us that there will be a back up Quarterback competition and starter kicker competition. Is this going to be a Redskins team that runs with only 2 QBs during the season? We'll find out come the end of preseason.

Before the start of training camp, Kevin D. had a televised press conference on CoxCast Sports Network & SPNTV. When Kevin D. was asked about being a fan of the team and his concerns were for being a new owner Kevin D. said the following:
"I'm always going to be a fan first, and so that means I'm always going to be looking out for the fans here because I know what they want.
Some pretty strong words spoken from the new owner, it seems he is speaking for all Redskins fans.
SNYDER OUSTED IN D.C.
There has been an ownership change in Washington. The Redskins will now be run by Kevin D. Today has begun a new era in Washington Redskins history. The city has a new NFL owner for its historical NFL franchise. Many still can't believe Dan Snyder has sold the Redskins, but it is true that Kevin D. has purchased controlling interest in the DC franchise.
Twitter was a major buzz this afternoon with many prominent tweets from around the league. "@MattMillerEA, Kevin is going to have his work cut out for him in Landover" "@SkipBaylessEA, Redskins fans just want some consistency, but does Kevin really scream that to anyone?""@LaVarArringtonEA, I'm just excited to talk to all the sports addicts in DC about Kevin taking control."
With Snyder selling the team to a younger generation, will we see any improvement inside this lackluster franchise; or will we be singing the same ole song? Kevin D. spoke with local radio stations this morning and was found to have said one key thing, the Nations capital will reign supreme again. Is Kevin D. getting ahead of himself? Time will tell. New head coach and new owner, let's liven the city back up and bring the Lombardi trophy back to the Nation's capital.

Whitman talking to Chernier after the game, " It frustrates me when we put a display like that for our home team! I can only take the blame for the decisions I made tonight. There are some changes that are going to happen and this will light a fire in the city, mark my words." Whitman left with lots of authoritative words for the city to hear. ESPN analyst Tim Legler stated "This is typical Washington Wizards basketball, up and down game with collapse in the 4th quarter, where is the GM at, does he have any control over his office? RandyWhitman is not his guy!" Big words from ESPN last night.

Tonight the Wizards lost Wall for a few weeks due to a concussion. Wall was found at his locker talking to 106.7 thefan " It hurts not being able to finish a game, when you know we could have put one or two runs together and could have taken this game back." Denson at the post game conference spoke to the fans by saying " We are just getting our selves accumulated with different pieces on the floor, we will come out strong once the chemistry is there." Wizards have fallen to 0-2 in this series, they will need to take the next two meetings between these two East coast rivals.

Last night in Miami, The Wizards fell to the Heat. John Wall exploded in the first half with 31 points 4 assists. Press conference Wall uttered, "It flat out sucks, that I was so on and the team could not follow my lead!" General Manager, Kevin D. was floored with the display the team put on against a division opponent. "If we want to be a threat in this conference, the contending champions is where to begin. We did not accomplish that tonight." On better notes John Wall was player of the week alongside Kevin Durant. Trevor Ariza has asked for a contract extension with the Washington Wizards. We will have to see what the GM and Owner think of that with all the upcoming Free Agents available.

In a unflattering home opener game for the Wizards, nothing came together until the 4th quarter when John Wall woke up and tried his best to take over the game. The overall cast on the Wizards could not put it together for their home crowd. "Being down the whole game and not once taking the lead really had the guys emotional on the bench." Whitman expressed to Comcast sports-net.
The 76ers took advantage on the bad spacing the Wizards displayed and capitalized on all of their opportunities when they were available. Philly came in to D.C. and received their first win of the season.

Great start to a new season, under a new front office manager. Wizards have not begun a season with a win in the past 6 seasons. John Wall really shined in this battle against the Pistons. "I felt great on the floor, Beal and I were really feeding off each others momentum!" Wall told the Post in the locker room.
Wall, Porter got in foul trouble early in the first quarter. John Wall backed off his agressive D and played his man a lot smarter. "This is the beginning of big things!" Kevin D. stated in his season opener press conference.
As Grunfeld, sadly, resigned from his position as President of Basketball operations with the Washington Wizards after a horrific 2012-2013 campaign. Alex Hartman, took a new approach to finding a replacement for a fresh start to his team. Upon hundreds of applicants, Hartman had settled with the young 30 year old DJ entrepreneur, Kevin D. from Alexandria, VA.
Hartman was found to have said " If Orlando can believe in Hennigan at such a young age, than there is something to this new up and coming 80's generation." Kevin D. has credits to playing only high school basketball and a endearing passion for basketball and the Wizards. "I heard about the open position on a radio ad one morning and heard there was an opportunity for new direction in Sports entertainment. When I went for the Open call was I astounded that it was for a General Manager position for the Washington Wizards." Kevin voiced on the radio with 106.7thefan this morning.
Press conference was held late evening yesterday, where Kevin D. had laid out his plans for the upcoming season and where Hartman and Kevin have come to agreement on what is expected. "Here in D.C. we are ready to turn this laughing stock of a market back to where it once was. Immediate goals is to find a sixth man to keep Wall fresh when he needs his recovery. 1st round pick, Otto Porter will get a chance see significant playing time. I promise you, the fans, our team will not lose no more than 34 games this season." Kevin explained to everyone who came out to see the new young exec at the Verizon Center.
Let's hope this brings new beginnings and a few championship titles back to D.C.
