if you have seen the recent trend in 3d, the adaptation to sports games seems to be a welcome advancment. the aspect of images jumping off the screen is not what excites me , but the ability to judge depth and distance between 2 objects does. example: the ability to actually see a pocket between a safety and a wide reciever seems to be an incredible visual treat, and then to actually drop a pass in that 3d zone seems to be a beautiful marriage. distance and depth has always been and will be one of the most important aspects of any sport. if 3d is implimented properly it seems it would only enhance the gaming experience. the 1st time i saw the recent 3d trends it came as a no brainer. sports games! the 1st time i saw 3d i was blown away by how depth between objects could now be seen. i think that the next batch of systems would impliment this technolgy to its sports gaming potential. to judge distance between lb's and te's or how close a ine backer is to the line of scrimmage seems like gamming bliss. to see your favorite baseball stadium in 3d and all the action between the lines is heaven. i know many will say but hey those glasses, but if it turns out the way i think, i would gladly wear those glasses

I hate all this spam crap. But as I wear glasses myself, 3D glasses always bother me. If it's worth it though I will try them.

I think it's not a good idea. AI and "animations" really need to be fixed in most sports games before even more window dressing is applied to them. I can already see Madden3D with the same crappy AI issues, same bugs, glitches etc except NOW IN 3D.

I have to disagree as well. Maybe I've had my head in the sand, but I didn't see the public clamoring for everything to appear in 3D. I just don't think 3D technology has evolved far enough. Nothing will be "3D" to me until I can get up and walk around to view it in perspective without the glasses. I feel like it has to move to the point of being some sort of holographic technology in a tabletop style unit. Plus, as a corrective lens wearer, the 3D glasses bother me whether I'm wearing them over my regular frames or contacts. In the end, let's hope that the corporate investment in 3D will result in significant leaps in viewing quality or it will once again follow the path of smell-o-vision.

I agree with the op. I am very much looking forward to the NEW 3D tech. The Panasonic 50" plasma really looks amazing in 3D. It was rated the best and when I went and checked it out-it was very cool. I am just waiting for more content to be released before I dive in.
