It has been reported that Lionel Messi is no longer going to be the star of EA Sports FIFA 17 game. The Argentinian has been on the cover of the popular game since 2013. It is believed that Messi does not want to renew his current deal. EA sports are still leaving the door open for the world best player but are looking for alternatives if he does not sign on the dotted line.
Two of the world's biggest stars, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar are not available for the role as the cover star of the game. It is due to them both having contracts with Konami who are the game's biggest rivals.
One candidate who is being touted as a replacement is James Rodriguez from Real Madrid. He is now the free bets favourite for the role. Many punters are looking for free bet offers to put on him becoming the face of the FIFA game. The player was recently frozen out of the team by former manager Rafa Benitez. However, with Zinedine Zidane replacing the Spanish head coach, it is expected that he will be included in the upcoming matches. It will give the player time to impress the new boss and to show why real forked out so much money for the Colombian star.
In the UK edition of EA Sports FIFA 15, Jordan Henderson from the Liverpool FC team was on the front cover. Even though the player is not widely popular with fans, it was the 2015 best-selling game and sold 2.5 million copies. It just goes to sure; it's not that vital who is shown on the edition.
The game is already in the shops and has had some great reviews. It is very similar to the last version, but the developers have managed to include a few tweaks. The changes though are not going to be great enough to prize over the fans of its major rival PES.
The games new inclusions are a women's team for the first time along with new game dynamics and models. The gameplay feels different from earlier versions but often has a much slower feel than last years.
It has been a long and bitter rivalry between EA Sports and PES. The former has made up a lot of ground over the last few years and has been referred by many avid football fans as the best. If FIFA is going to compete, it will need to improve each year. It is going to be exciting over the coming years to see which developer manages to push the boundaries most. The one that does will inevitably end up on top.
There are a few candidates out there is Messi decides not to renew his contract. Why not search for free bet offers to put money on the one you think will become the new face of the game. It may even be worth putting a free bet of Messi to stay around for a few more years.
