According to an ESPN article, Tennessee Volunteers football coach Lane Kiffin, has had eleven players leave the team since he took over. Out of those eleven, four have exited stage right following the recent Orange and White spring scrimmage.

Personally, I have been in a similar situation as a player. The previous year our record was 0-10, which naturally led to the hiring of a new coach.

The new coach was the biggest A-hole from the date of his hire to the start of the ... Read More

EA released a blog regarding the revamped playbook for the Flexbone offense.

Obviously they're using Navy's playbook so it's not a reach to say this (Paul Johnson's Navy ties), but based on the formation images it looks like they're using Georgia Tech. This is very huge because anyone that loves to run the option has to consider using the Yellowjackets. I did in NCAA 2009 and I'll never go back; it was such a blast. Great news about the additions to the flexbone.

I’m a little tea pot, short and stout.

The “Broken Ankiels” are quietly hanging in there in third place of their fourteen team rotisserie fantasy league. The power numbers are there, the runs are there, and the average is respectably above average. But then there’s the other side of the spectrum; good ol’ fashioned pitching.

Unfortunately, the B.A.’s have been anything ... Read More

The argument in favor of keeping the BCS system with no playoff (from the mouth of the commissioner himself) is all about "What would it do to the tradition of bowl games?"

And now, the argument to keep the Big-12 tie breaker the same is all about "Who will ... Read More

For the second half of our look back on the first month of fantasy baseball we shift our focus from the ones who weren’t, to the saviors of our fantasy teams.

For every Jason Giambi there is an Albert Pujols, and for every Chien-Ming Wang there is a … well, let’s not give it away just yet.

So here we go, the band-aids to our fantasy baseball ouchies.

A month in the books and we miraculously still have a few patches of hair left on top of the ol’ hollow dome. Between the head scratching, hair-pulling, and head smashing into the ceiling from our 2" vertical jump of excitement off the futon – the first month of fantasy baseball has many ways of aging us.

Along with the black-list we’ve mentally created for fantasy eternity there have also been the steady ... Read More

Pick your team or your friend's team or a team from a hat.. just pick a team. Look up their draft from about 3 years ago or so and evaluate that draft now that we have some information to use.

I try to ignore the "day after" rants of drafts because I don't see how you can evaluate a team's draft until the players have had a chance to play, etc.

So anyways...take a shot.

Here's an example:

Now that the draft is behind us and the season is in the foreground, naturally we take our attention to the upcoming seasons of college and NFL football.

With the season approaching that also means the release of the latest installments of the college and pro video games.

My excitement for the upcoming seasons continues to grow, but the next gen version of football games has done little to hold my interest.

I have yet to feel that NCAA or Madden have captured ... Read More

Follow along with the career of 29 year old journeyman, Jayson Mikels as he looks to cement his career in Seattle after 11 years in Road to the Show.

We'll be joining Jayson at a pivotal point in his career -- a unique starting point for a RTTS following. Instead of being a young phenom with all the time in the world, Mikels presents himself as a man with lots of hidden talent, yet he is short on time for his pursuit of Cooperstown.

Hope you all enjoy

Knowing that this is just a demo build I will try to keep the comments concentrated on the most notable aspects that I would consider "need to know" for anyone who has or hasn't played The Show before.

I played three games of the demo last night at around 2 A.M. so I'm trying my hardest to recall and as I remember things throughout the day I'll come back and add to the list.

I played one game on Legend with Philly and lost 9-0. I played other games as well with Philly on ... Read More

My childhood hero has been selected to join the NFL Hall of Fame in 2009!

The reason I was #58 throughout my football playing days and the "58" to my username, DT was taken from this earth during the prime of his career.

He paved the way for speed rushers like Dwight Freeney, Julius Peppers, and Javon Kearse. Essentially he showed how valuable a player of that caliber at that position could be in the NFL.

However, Thomas also had the versatility to step back ... Read More

The Mountain West Conference has begun a movement to have their conference added to the list of automatic BCS qualifiers for the FBS bowl season in college football.

Utah, BYU, and TCU all finished in the top 25 at the conclusion of this past season. All teams are from the Mountain West Conference. Utah was the only undefeated team in FBS but was denied a chance to play for the national championship, losing out ... Read More

I'm sure many of you have read this story or heard about it on the news. A girls high school basketball game in Dallas, Texas, ended with a 100-0 final. The two schools involved (the way I understand) are relgiously affiliated schools and are relatively small in enrollment.

So you have a case of one team getting excited over trying to reach the century mark while another struggles to find ... Read More
