EA Sports Madden/NCAA Bundle?
Posted on May 2, 2010 at 03:05 AM.
New Poll @ Offthebag.com | EA Sports Madden and NCAA Bundle?

With the growing anticipation over the gameplay improvements to Madden NFL and NCAA Football games, many people are contemplating their potential choice of which game to purchase in 2010.

If each game lives up to the hype, both may be worthy of owning. The only thing; how do you justify spending $120 on two football games in the same year?

The answer for consumers isn’t so easy to come up with. EA Sports, however; should consider a move to bundle the two games that would increase the sale and exposure of each which would not only promote the product in the present, but also grow the fan base of each franchise.

Our question to you: How much would you pay for such a bundle?

Bundling, I don't think, is an option since these games are released a month apart. I think the best option is to wait to buy NCAA since the game is released two months in advance of the regular season. Once Madden hits shelves, there are sure to be used copies.

I have enjoyed both franchises (NCAA more) and Madden turned the corner for me last year...Both are looking solid this year....

I would be fine waiting for NCAA or you could just pre pay for both and pick up each seperatly. I would pay $100 for both games.

stlstudios189 is understanding where I'm coming from here. Of course it wouldn't be a bright idea to sell them both at the exact same time, but the concept of "bundling" would apply for a pre-order special discount, etc.

$90 bucks for both Madden and NCAA would be an good deal. I would pay for that.

We pay $60 for lesser games that only have several hours of value. I have no problems paying full price for both.

I think it would be great for the consumer to get a discounted bundle but I think it would be a terrible move for EA. A lot of people would probably just sell one of the games on e-bay and ruin the retail sales of the games. Game companies need to maximize new sales.

I actually expect some DLC or rights to the games (like roster updates for Madden or roster sharing for NCAA) to be limited to first time buyers unless you buy those rights for a used copy. That's the next step in the DLC explosion.

I have it bundled through the EA store for $79.98 for both game. (each $39.99 with free shipping) Took advantage of a deal the EA store had a month and a half ago.

I agree with Rudy it would be great for consumers but it would probably hurt sales in the long run.

I also agree with DLC codes being included in new games so that way they can push customers to buying new games. If I were EA I would thrown in some extra uniforms with NCAA and Madden

Too bad I missed out on the deal at EA for $80. I would have jumped at that with the improvements to line play and locomotion.

I'd rather pay the regular price for NCAA alone rather than pay extra for Madden as well. However, I'd consider buying a bundle if the price isn't too much extra and just give Madden to my nephew.

The only issue with the bundle is that the titles have separate release dates.

@JkA3

The concept of bundle is implied here, therefore; the point isn't that the games are physically bundled together but you are given a discount for choosing to purchase both games.
