It's amazing how people wanna say how bad Pitt's defense was instead of just giving credit where it's due.

First time playing college football on the road as a red shirt freshman and put up those number is remarkable. It doesn't mean he will win a Heisman, or a National Championship, but don't discount what was a great performance.
