I don't think Oregon State was a "middle of the road" team last year. We have plenty of talent coming back and we should have played better. If we would have stopped playing 10 yards off their recievers every single play and put a spy or two on the QB we might have had a slightly better chance.
BUT WITH THAT BEING SAID that was one of the best live performances I've seen out of a QB. Verron Adams is a true gamer. I felt like I was watching Vince Young play. Maybe he's not THAT good, but the more and more I think about it, the less I feel like Oregon State "lost" as much as Eastern Washington won it.
It's an old saying but they just straight up outplayed us. An upset yes, but not as surprising and most think.

This amount of upsets is going to become more common. As you can tell by me username, one of my teams was a victim to the upset. But unfortunately it wasn't a narrow victory by the upsetter like the other games were. This was complete domination. They are talented players and coaches at the 1AA(FCS) level. These wins are no longer shockers.
The kansas State one was a shocker though. They were Big 10 champs and were ranked. The other teams were middle of the road struggling after loses a bunch of players the previous year.
