He needs to go. If the NCAA came down on Ohio State for exchanges their own property for tattoos. I just don't see anyway that Manziel would do all those sessions for free. And he's clear violation of rules by not protecting or attempting to control his marketing prescence. Only now has he done it, hiring a lawyer, taking off all items from eBay. Which looks like it ticted of even more vendors that he signed for. With all this and pass disgressions, it's a miracle the talent and notority starved Aggies let him practice. Poor team is already circling the drain after it's most successful season in 60 years or so. And yes, I'm a Longhorn fan.

I'm sort of torn on this subject. While the rules are the rules and Athletes can't receive compensation at all for anything I think he just needs to be sat for a while until this blows over. But on the other hand I agree with Truzoe the NCAA admitted themselves that they profit off of these athletes and that's outside the actual games, TV Deals and Bowl Games (well the BCS). They profit of their digital replicas and basically anything that has that NCAA Flag attached to it.
It's extremely selfish and to be quite honest just dirty and crooked as hell. All kids don't come from Family like Manziel's so all families aren't well off and taken care of. These kids should at least be able to charge some guy on Ebay for their autographs.

If they come up with the evidence to prove he took money, he should be kicked out. In response to WickedFB, these kids have no choice to go to college to try to get to the NFL. College, whether they like to admit it, is a cheap farm system for the NFL. They aren't going to college by choice, not if they want to get to the NFL. Basketball stars can go directly to the Pros. Baseball phenoms can go to MiLB or go to College. The notion that they get back equally because they get a college education is laughable nowadays. Forcing someone to go through your system and turning around saying you are doing them a favor, shows there is something wrong with it.

Dez Bryant was suspended 10 games for lying to the NCAA about a meeting he had. I don't think there is any doubt Manziel took money for autographs and if the NCAA has even remote evidence of it then he'll be gone by the opener. I would venture to say even if he makes it through this scandal he is just going to do something else and eventually A&M will do something because at this point he is dragging the name of the school through the mud and making them look inept. Eventually that is going to outweight his benefit on the field.
