QOTD: What would be the perfect ending to tonight's Game 7 of the 2013 NBA Finals?

The team does. The fans......hell no. That is just disgraceful to leave before it's over. And that's coming from a Bobcats fan....

As a life long Heat fan. It's wrong to judge a fan base, looking at a small median of the teams supporters. To the Heat fans defense, the team is only 25 years old and just recently became 1 of the upper echelon teams in the NBA. We do not have the tradition of the Celtics,Lakers, Sixer hell even the tradition of the Spurs. Therefore the team isn't ingrained in the culture of the city at this point. Celtic fans can go back 3 and 4 generations. Heat fans can barely go back 1 generation. As the team gets older and the fans become more invested then you will see less acts like this and more appreciation for the players. Most of the "fans" have only been following the team for 3 year because they've had so little invested in the team they lack the loyalty of places whose teams have been around 3x-4x longer.

My perfect ending tonight would be to see San Antonio win it in a semi-close game. Something like 8-12 point spread would be ideal. I don't want either team to win via blowout but I can appreciate having 30 seconds or so of game time where one team gets to celebrate a little before the official end. A buzzer-beater would be better if I didn't really care who won but honestly, I don't want Miami to win. Lebron is an amazing player but I just don't like how much he enjoys his "King James" (and similar) labels. Jordan was great too but I don't remember him coming across nearly as cocky as Lebron. I also don't remember Pippen pulling the whole Scrappy-Doo sidekick routine with him like Wade does. And those comparisons are coming from a Pistons fan that hated the Bulls growing up. I also like that the Spurs really come across as playing more of a team-oriented game.
In the end, I really don't care too much but if the basketball gods came to me and asked me who should win tonight, I'd give it to the Spurs.
To answer the headline question, I agree with others...the fans don't "deserve" anything.

Are you kidding me with this? Yeah like every team doesn't have bandwagon fans, or fans that leave early before game ends. So because some fans leave early because it looked the game was over, the fan base as a whole doesn't "deserve" it? Right..the Heat must not have any "true" fans. Give me a fuxking break! lol

#5 You don't remember Jordan being that cocky? Are you serious lol? I love Jordan too as one of the all time greats but the guy was the most cocky player of all. He suffered from extreme narcissism. The dreamteam documentary touched on that subject in detail through the eyes of other great players. It's also what made him great. And Scottie was there playing the "scrappy doo" role, (you admitted to not being a fan so I assume outside of nationally televised games you didn't watch much of the heat this season or followed their beat writers. Not sure how you can characterize Wade's interaction with James based on a few games)I vividly remember Scottie carrying Michael to the bench towards the end of the Flu Game. Plus we are in a different media era. Scottie wasn't a super star on his own BEFORE Jordan. And he didn't have to deal with 1,000,0000 reporters (ESPN) in his face every week asking what is was like to defer to Michael.

I don't understand why this is news. Fans leave early all the time in every major sport. This is another case of the media hyping everything MIAMI HEAT!

Real HEAT fans deserve another championship. Bandwagon fans are rampant combined with the super rich South Beach socialites who really couldn't give a damn if we won or lost.
There are plenty of real sports fans here just like anywhere else. If you wanna talk about bad fan bases in Florida look at the Marlins and Rays fans. Even if they are doing really well in the regular season the ballparks are still empty. Come playoff time though and suddenly the stadiums are packed. Lame.
Dolphins probably have the best though, they have the most consistent and loyal fan base down here. On the verge of an 0-16 season and people were still cheering for them.

Lately though actual Marlins fans do have a valid gripe with the city and front office basically lying to them this past season.

No, but if fans were deserved titles actually won them, Cleveland and Buffalo teams would have won one at some point.
