Jackson And Sanchez Show Out:
Cabrera Hits 3rd Home Run!
Game 3: April 10th, 2014
Detroit Tigers @ Minnesota Twins
Game 3 of 3 (rubber match)
**I originally won 6-4 but had to leave for work before i could finish the box score so i simmed it for a W.
Apparently, Austin Jackson was a double shy of the cycle and Miggy was being Miggy. 3 Homers in 3 Games... CRAZY!!!
I need to figure out how to get Peralta and Castellanos to hit. In my incomplete game Castellanos hit the ball hard every at bat, but each one was right at a fielder. But I need to find a way to get them to find open space.
QBerry is starting off strong, minus 2 errors through 3 games. But to be fair, he isn't a second baseman. He is making a case for platoon OF position however.
In Minor league action:
Minor league opening Day, AAA Toledo Mud Hens beat the Louisville Bats 7-2 behind a strong offensive showing (14 hits) and riding the arm of Jose Alvarez (1-0) who went 8 ⅓ and only have up 6 hits and 2 earned runs.
AA Erie Sea Wolves lost 5-8 to the Akron Aeros. The lone bright spot of this loss was our rookie SS Fred Ragland went 3 for 4 with an RBI and a stolen base. Starting pitcher Drew Verhagen was yanked after 5 inning pitched. He gave up 5 runs in the 4th inning, but was off the hook when the Wolves tied it up 5-5 in the top of the 8th inning.
Next series is @ Citi Field against the NY Mets for 3 games.
