EA please make recruiting more engaging!!!

I want to take a break from railing on EA and other gaming companies, in order to offer a bit of advice for next year’s edition of NCAA Football. Over the years, EA devs have taken steps to improve the dynasty portion of the game, namely with features such as Coaching Carousel and a revamped recruiting system. Not this year Madden...at least, not yet

The middle of August (or end of the month, as is the case this year) usually comes a few repeatable occurrences. The end of summer is in sight, college kids are getting ready to hit the books (ha!) and EA’s Madden football is released to the masses. Life is great, if you’re a sports gamer.

Graphics got their upgrade, what about the AI?

Everybody has their own idea of how to make the best video game possible. I’ll admit, I think I have the best and only ideas for the best football game ever (kidding, of course!) But, we need to look at games nowadays and ask ourselves, are we getting what we paid for?

Although much has been said on the topic with two sides bitterly fighting out, it’s time to finish it once and for all: Is NCAA Football ’12 out of the box, a success? In my mind, no. I have plenty of points, some of which, I have heard has happened and others that I’ve directly been affected by.

Tinkering with Sliders

As sports gaming becomes more and more realistic, we as the target audience, want our games to play out like the what we see on the ice, field, diamond or whatever your favorite game is played on or in. Developers slave for countless hours trying to figure out the fairest representation of our favorite game while still making it as fun as possible for us gamers.

There comes a game every now and then that is so highly touted that you just shy away from learning anything about it. Not because you're sick of the media hype machine but because you don't want to be completely letdown about a title you've been secretly wanting to play. Webster's Dictionary defines the word Legacy as:

"Law. a gift of property, esp. personal property, as money, by will; a bequest."

All I've heard the past few weeks is Colts quarterback Peyton Manning's legacy and how it would be tainted if he loses the Super Bowl. I have two questions about this: what and why?

Finally Kicked the M$ Habit...

I finally made the plunge, crossed the line, jumped ship, and saw the light...I was finally fed up with the problems plaguing Microsoft's golden child the Xbox 360 and made my way over to the big boys at Sony.

It's that time of year where football loses its novelty for me. From March to the middle of July I am craving some football action, almost to where it hurts. When EA Sports' NCAA football, which is my favorite venue for sports, comes out mid-July nothing and no one stands in my way!
