NCAA Football, Microsoft, and EA Sports are to Blame...Not me!

It's that time of year where football loses its novelty for me. From March to the middle of July I am craving some football action, almost to where it hurts. When EA Sports' NCAA football, which is my favorite venue for sports, comes out mid-July nothing and no one stands in my way!

The old cliche of families thrown by the wayside, girlfriends leaving, and friends don't hear from you is really true in this case. Their lives take a backseat to my addiction and won't think twice about throwing in the disc and smoking some opponent.

Around the same time I buy NCAA football I also buy an agenda so I can pencil in the people closest to me. Work 6am-2:30pm, check. NCAA Football 3pm-6pm, check. Dinner 6pm-6:02pm, check. NCAA Football 6:03pm-midnight, check. Girlfriend yells at me midnight-1pm but I fell asleep at midnight:01, check. This goes on from July to November-ish.

Then, EA HAD to introduce the addictive Online Dynasty. Oh, bittersweet for me and I think my mind and body have taken a toll. Work productivity is down, re-productivity with the Mrs. is down, and I don't even know if my mother is still alive. Did I miss a funeral?

Oh, none of that matters I have my online friends and with the new "Xbox/Wii experience" I can see their awesome avatars. It'll be just like talking to a real person, with every one important to me leaving me after years of NCAA Football abuse, I could really use that now.

Anyway, I hope Microsoft is happy because as an addict you HAVE TO blame your problems on someone or something else. Obviously it's not me I'm a perfectly healthy 24-year old male who fits perfectly into your demographic.

EA you are to blame too you jerks! You are like a rebound chick who just play with to get your confidence back up and running and then she dumps you 4 months down the road! Oh great now I'm stuck playing Fallout 3, NCAA Basketball '09, Fable II, FarCry 2, Left 4 Dead...pffff. See you guys next Spring when baseball comes out.
