LOS ANGELES, CA - The Giants bats are finally starting to heat up. Thursday's matchup of the two perennial NL West powerhouses was indicative of the way the season has been so far; the Giants have just been one step ahead of the Dodgers. The Giants phenomenal pitching continued as the previously struggling Ryan Vogelsong threw 8 shutout innings, only allowing six hits and a walk. Dodger ace Clayton Kershaw continued to falter, allowing four runs through only five innings pitched. The preseason NL Cy Young favorite has looked less than stellar thus far. The Kung Fu Pandoval went on a rampage going 3-4 and driving in half the team's runs. These wins against the divisional foe are crucial, especially with Tim Hudson being put on the DL Wednesday. Pagan's woes continue, and trade talks swirl around the league.
