The Tigers didn't miss a beat after returning from the All-Star break. Justin Verlander gave up 1 ER over 6 IP. Mike Minor converted a save by pitching three innings and striking out six. He also came into the ballgame with a 3-run lead. All starters who recorded hits had at least two of them.
W: 13-1
Matt Cain only got through 5 innings, but the bullpen behind him only gave up two hits! Justin Masterson's sinker was not working today (2 IP, 6 ER, 10 H). Ryan Braun had a fabulous day at the plate (3-5, 2B, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 3 R).
W: 14-1
It is not a good day when you have more errors than runs, Indians. The Tigers jumped on Josh Tomlin (3 IP, 7 R, 10 H) en route to the blowout. Johnny Cueto may be headed to the DL (quadricep).

Doctors say that Cueto should only miss a week with the strained quad. He will miss one start; Mike Minor will take the mound in Cueto's place. For now, Cueto remains inactive on the 25-man roster. A DL stint is unnecessary.
