Games 49-52 vs. OAK

W: 11-1
Though nowhere near the most runs scored in a game this season, Detroit had one of its best offensive games yet. Tom Milone was gone after only 3 2/3 IP. Ryan Braun went 2-3 with 2BB, 3B, HR, 4 R, 5 RBI.

W: 16-0
Doug Fister threw a complete game one-hit shutout of the As, striking out 10. Every Tiger had at least one hit and at least one run scored. Brett Lawrie homered and hit two doubles. JJ Hardy homered twice.

W: 5-1
Nursing a sore calf, Ryan Braun was not in the lineup. The Tigers got ahold of Brett Anderson early, scoring all five runs in the 2nd. JJ Hardy hit a three-run home run and Adam Jones hit a two-run home run to cap off the inning. Justin Verlander pitched a complete game, despite giving up the solo home run to Michael Taylor.

W: 4-2
The A's struck first in another weak Cole Hamels start, but the Tigers took the lead for good in the 5th with help from David Freese and JJ Hardy who doubled. Ryan Braun sat out yet another game. He will return late in this week.
