Cyclones Advance to the National Championship

The Cyclones faced their first SEC opponent with Coach Hendricks at the helm. They hung in there throughout a tight first half, but a dominant tempo, defense in the lane, and clutch threes allowed Iowa State to take control.

In the National Championship, they will see Duke for the second time this season. Duke beat Iowa State 90-81 in Ames earlier this season. Surely, the Cyclones have the same players, but this is an entirely different team.

Duke beat Purdue 88-64 in the latter of the two Final Four games to advance.
