Tigers Acquire Another Breakout Star

Yes, you heard that right. 2012 sensation Jerry Sands is your newest Detroit Tiger. He comes over at the cost of Addison Reed, and prospects Joe Martinez and Tommy Park.

Sands was named an NL Slugger for his 29 HR and 115 RBI with the Dodgers last season. He will platoon versus lefties and will also be made use of in the corner infield and corner outfield positions.

On a side note, the Tigers are experimenting with Scott Kazmir. The two-time All-Star signed a minor league deal. He last pitched in 2011, but fell victim to serious control issues.
