Our major focus this offseason was to group weaker programs more efficiently. Also, we restored some traditional inter-conference relationships.
Firstly, the FBS Quality Committee grants independence to:
- Michigan State.
- SMU.
- Navy.
Secondly, the FBS promotes:
- Arkansas State to the East Division of Conference USA.
- Texas State to the West Division of Conference USA.
- UCF to the Big East.
Thirdly, the FBS Quality Committee demotes:
- Duke to the Big East.
- Rice to the Sun Belt.
- UAB to the Sun Belt.
- Washington State to the WAC.
- San Jose State to the WAC.
- New Mexico to the WAC.
- Toledo to the East Division of the MAC.
Lastly, for various reasons, the FBS Quality Committee moves:
- Rutgers to the Coastal Division of the ACC.
- Houston to the East Division of Conference USA.
- San Diego State to the West Division of Conference USA.
