In-Season Personnel Changes
The Tigers and Blue Jays made many moves during the season. Most notably, the Tigers acquired Edwin Encarnacion. The Jays recieved Jose Valverde, Jim Thome, and Vladmir Guerrero. Prospects were also swapped. Thome and Guerrero have been surprising offensive producers in the lineup. Valverde was better as a Tiger, but his numbers aren't far off.

Encarnacion hasn't fully lived up to expectations. With a stiff salary increase coming, he will likely be shipped elsewhere by next season.

Summary of Regular Season Matchup
The Jays only notched one win during the season, but most games were competitive. The only Jays win occured in extra innings, where Brett Lawrie walked off with a home run. The games at Rogers Centre were extremely offensive. Most of the hits were doubles, and the Tigers obviously gave up more home runs than they were used to.

Analysis of Postseason
The Tigers could possibly have an easy series, due to the absence of Brett Lawrie. Still the two venues in play will have serious effects on the series. If the Tigers take care of business at home, they will win. The Jays have the ability to take care at home, but the Tigers have snatched opportunities in the past. I don't expect a sweep, but a Tigers series loss would be shocking.
