Andrea Bargnani "broke his back". Coincidentally, he led the team in scoring. Maybe he carried them too much. Anyways, he will be out 6-8 weeks. If the Pistons hang in there and make the playoffs, then he will come back.
The division leading Bulls lost a star of their own, too. Luol Deng tore his meniscus. He will be lost for the same amount of time. We’ll see how each team copes.
Later in the month, Ben Gordon broke his hand. We don’t know what to think of this, yet. He has been underperforming so far.
We have a milestone to report. Michael Beasley registered his 5,000th point.
Lastly, with their win on March 31st, the Pistons clinched their first playoff berth since 2009.
