Red Wings Make Playoffs (Again)

This is the first playoffs of the post-Datsyuk era. We made a tough decision and decided to trade him. He is 35 and in the last year of a $6.7 million contract. It was a hard decision, but we got James Van Riemsdyk (11 years younger) in return.

The Flyers did not make the playoffs, so this is step 1 in calling this trade a "win".

Henrik Zetterberg is the new captain. Niklas Kronwall is still an alternate, and Riemsdyk is the other alternate.

The Red Wings have a 1-0 lead over the Dallas Stars in the first round. They have played each other in the first round each of the past 3 seasons.

Looks like you got a pretty good team right there. Just curios what does your ahl/specs look like?

See, the issue with me is that I also send away a lot of draft picks in the process. I can give a more in-depth view later, but it's mostly 70-80 OVR, some waiver pickups, or FAs.
