The next player for the Best Players College Football is a player who has plenty of experience as a signal caller at the collegiate level. As a freshmen he tied a record for Td�s thrown by a freshmen with 29 which also broke his school record. This man has been a three time Offensive MVP in three different bowl games. He already has school records in wins (32), Bowl wins (3), completions (825), attempts (1,175), TD passes (85), passing yards (9,732), total offense (10,955), TDs responsible for (102), passer rating (158.0) and completion percentage (70.2%) ... his single-season marks include TD passes (32), TDs responsible for (45), passing yards (3,859), most plays (569), completions (332) and completion percentage (76.7%). He is one of only four players from his school to throw for atleast five TDs in one game. This past year he set the NCAA single-season record for completion percentage at 76.7%.
He was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Year, then two years later became the Big12 Offensive Player of the Year. He is the only freshman in school history to win ten games. Some believe Colt Mccoy to be the early leader in the Heisman race because Tebow and Bradford have each already acquired one. Mccoy can hurt you with his arm and his feet amassing for over 500 rushing yards last year. Mccoy led Texas in a comeback last minute drive in a 24-21 victory over No. 10 Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl. Mccoy is still looking for a National Title, where some people believe Texas should have been in the championship instead of Oklahoma last year. As a senior, Mccoy should be an almost guarantee first round pick maybe early second round at worst.
