Well I have finally decided to try my hand at blogging, since I�m at home with the flu and probably not going to work until Wednesday I figured why not. First of all a little about me, I have been a member of OS for a little under three years, but I have been a visitor for a long time. I don�t know it never had occurred to me to join until 2007. I have been a school teacher for the last seven years; it�s a job that I would not trade for the world. It�s a lot of hard work and takes a lot of dedication but I wouldn�t have it any other way. Plus what other job gives you the whole summer off.

As far as sports goes I�m a baseball guy through and through, don�t get me wrong I like football and basketball but my true love and passion is baseball. I have played it competitively from the age of 4 until last summer when my knees could not take catching any more. Believe me this past summer was tough, I would look at my catchers gear in the garage and want to put it on. But the pain in my knees would remind me why I stopped playing.

As you can probably tell by visiting my arena I�m a Cubs fan and an SIU Salukis fan for both basketball and football. I also follow the Bears, Bulls and recently started watching the Hawks but I can only be called a fair weather fan of those teams. I they are going good I watch if not then it�s a long winter waiting for spring training to start.

Well thats about it, currently playing The Show and College Hoops 2k8.
