NBA 2K15 MyLeague w/Phoenix Suns - Ep 2 - Continuing the simulation
Posted on January 16, 2015 at 09:17 AM.
With no changes to the roster, let’s just go straight to the simulation. Our next two weeks started with a home game against the Brooklyn Nets. The game went bad for the Phoenix Suns… until the fourth quarter. With losing the first three quarters 82-72, the fourth quarter was a clear win for the Suns, and the game was a really close win, 106-105. Some stats for both teams:
Phoenix: Markieff Morris 16pts, 2blks, Brandan Wright 13pts 9rebs, Goran Dragic 13pts 5ast 2stls
Brooklyn: Joe Johnson 22pts 5rebs, Mason Plumlee 21pts 6rebs, Deron Williams 17pts 9asts 3stls

Next game was again at home, but against the Charlotte Hornets. The game was really close all time, since the quarters went 2-2. Only the great run at the second quarter gave the Suns the win that they wanted. Some stats for both teams:
Phoenix: Eric Bledsoe 20pts rebs, Gerald Green 18pts, Isaiah Thomas 15pts 13asts (career high)
Charlotte: Kemba Walker 20pts, Lance Stephenson 11pts 8rebs 7asts, Al Jefferson 9pts 13rebs 2stls 2blks

Then it was time to visit Los Angeles – again! This time we played the Clippers in a close game, which came down to the wire. Great performance from the Suns in the first half, not so good at the second, and the Clippers win 115-114. The full box score:

After the Clippers game we made our way to Boston to take on the Celtics. The game was close, and the lead changed about a dozen times. But, in the fourth quarter, the Suns took the lead, and didnät give it up. Suns win 117-104. Some stats for both teams:
Phoenix: Gerald Green 28pts 5rebs, Eric Bledsoe 27pts 5asts 2stls, Isaiah Thomas 11pts 9asts 3stls
Boston: Brandon Bass 19pts, Avery Bradley 18pts, Jared Sullinger 12pts 7rebs 2blks

Right after the Celtics win, the GM of the Utah Jazz called me. He wanted to trade Enes Kanter for Goran Dragic. A decend trade, but not for me. Declined.

Our road trip continued, when we went to Detroit to face the Pistons. The Pistons didn’t start playing until the fourth quarter. The first three quarter were 102-49. Comeback was too late for the Pistons, Suns win 124-88. Some stats for both teams:
Phoenix: Eric Bledsoe 29pts 5rebs with 3-3 from three, Isaiah Thomas 28pts 10asts with perfect shooting with 9-9 field goals, 5-5 3 pointers and 5-5 free throws, Miles Plumlee 14pts 14rebs 2blks
Detroit: Brandon Jennings 22pts 6asts, Andre Drummond 16pts 6rebs 2blks, Anthony Tolliver 10pts 7rebs 2blks

Then came another call. This time it came from Memphis. They would give us Courtney Lee and Jon Leuer for Gerald Green and Zoran Dragic. I don’t want to lose Gerald Green, so I declined.

Then the next game was in Philadelphia. The first half was much better, but the second half made the game even, and we go to the first overtime in our dynasty. The overtime was 11-7 to Suns, and we win 127-123. Full box score:

Next stop on our tour was in Indianapolis, where the Pacers waited for us. The game was really streaky, but the Suns win 92-83. Some stats for both teams:

Indiana: Luis Scola 15pts 10rebs, David West 14pts 4blks, Roy Hibbert 12pts 5rebs

And the last game of this post was in Toronto. This was also a streaky game, and unfortunately we lost 106-96. Some stats for both teams:
Phoenix: Gerald Green 20pts, Eric Bledsoe 14pts 5rebs 6asts 2blks, Isaiah Thomas 114pts 5asts
Toronto: Kyle Lowry 34pts 6rebs 7asts 4blks, Terrence Ross 22pts, DeMar DeRozan 12pts 9rebs 8asts
Also, we suffer our first injury of the season, as Alex Len got a broken ankle and will miss 4-6 weeks.

And as the end of the episode, let’s take a look to our stats from the start of the season:
