When others talk about influences, they seem to state the obvious ones: Barry Sanders, Joe Montana, Brett Farve, Peyton Manning, the usual.

But, whatever happened to having influences that played your style of football?

My influences are QBs that can run. And, I don't mean Michael Vick, either. The only reason he's fast is because he had to outrun those dogs he was training to fight. No, I mean Randall Cunningham and Fran Tarkenton.

Randall was a straight-up MANchild! I mean this dude was fast and elusive. He does some moves that some running backs wish they could do. Fran was something else, man. He wasn't the type to run downfield, but, rather, he could expand and move the pocket and lengthen out a pass play like no one else. You would think you had him, but then he would make you work for your sack, which never happened often.

Of the two, Fran is my absolute favorite, just because he wears my number: 10.

Hopefully, I'll be signed this week. My agent said that I could possibly end up with the Jaguars, Bengals, Texans, Dolphins, or Browns. I hope I don't get signed to Miami, I'll be nothing but a Wildcat player. If Cleveland signs me, me and Brady Quinn are gonna have a talk; he's wearing my number.

Well, gotta go. This spagetti Mom made for me after she got out of the hospital is going through me like a termite through an old basement.

Nice write up, I just found out a friend of mine I went to highschool with got invited to the combine this year from a D2 school and is now a St. Louis Ram, pretty cool stuff.

I love QB's that can extend a play rather than the Vicks. I love Brady's pocket presence where he uncanny knows where to slide his position when pressure is there but I really like how Hasselbeck can expend plays and he doesn't leave his O-Line high and dry by doing it either. Mike Vick I could not stand at all. He is by far my most hated player, Not because of the dog issue but because he was considered an elite QB and would go to Pro Bowls because of his legs more than his arm. Vick couldn't read an NFL defense and was horrible with accuracy. He had a cannon but he really sucked as a QB but was a great football player.

The 2 most hated players for me.....

1. Mike Vick
2. Brett Favre

If I had someone that ever influnced me to play football it would have been Jim Brown. The only 3 positions I would like to play that I would be best for would be a RB, KR, and PR.

Well my influences are Jim Brown, Allan Page, Dick Butkus, Walter Payton, The list could be huge but i will keep it short. So many influences but these are mine. And i cant forget Dan Marino and Jerry rice and not to forget Joe Montanna and Joe namath.

Steve Young is good, but he's not my favorite mobile QB. Half of his success he can own to Jerry Rice.

BTW, I think that Michael Vick had a good time away to learn how to properly play QB. Guess we'll find out eventually...
