Hex editing for 2k11 -Part 1: Step One Tools

Ok most of you have seen or read about all the cool things that i have done to NBA 2k11 on the Xbox 360 threw hex editing the roster files.

This is the 1st part of tut on how you can try do what it is that i do.
1st you need to down load the "Modio" prgram : http://www.game-tuts.com/community/i...p?pageid=modio
You must learn how to transfer your files with whatever your using as memory transfer from your pc to xbox. I can't help you there. I use my "xbox 360 hard drive transfer Cable" for this.

So find a roster file you want transfer it to something to get on your PC. Fire up the modio program. Then click the "explore device " on the Modio control panel. Then it will open up to show you all the content what ever your using. Look for this: 5454087A that is the name of file that saves all your NBA 2k11 info. The rest if easy look for file you want drag if over to desk top.

Then you need to get a hold of a Hex editing program , there are tons on the internet!!!

As soon as you find which one you want download it. Open it and open your roster into that.
You well most of the left right just with a jumbile of letters and numbers. But to the far right you will see "gold" that is what you can edit. This where i stop for now start to get using the these to programs look at that text show you go up and down.
Please note not all roster files are the same or look the same.

@ gottibino no you can edit shoes, i listed whats editable.

@ Houndy yes like REDeditor lets hope the right person see's the interest the 360 folks have in a tool.

@rspencer86 @hokupguy do you have any idea on how to resign files to the PS3? I've done a some modding on the files using Modio but can't figure out how to resign the file to the PS3. Just getting corrupt file.

dude you cant this is only for the 360 there no program that resigns the file to PS3. I state that twice in the tut and once here somewhere. As far as i know and based by many PS3 users there is no program anywhere to resign and rehash files for Ps3 ....Sorry

Can you save a roster onto a flash drive and then put It in here?

the cut and colors of it look at the hex editing thread and see for your self.. that tut will be very "detailed".

tommrrow some time it should be up regarding arena renaming with screen shots.
