Kobe And Lakers Humble Bulls
Bryant drops in 43 As Lakers Stun Bulls By 32

The performance came out of nowhere and can not be understated in what this league represents and its expectations. The 1997 Chicago Bulls were among the league favorites to open this season and were handed a straight beating on their own floor 105-73.

The Bulls shot only 32% from the field with Michael Jordan going 7-23 as Kobe Bryant gave him fits all game. Bryant on the other hand used the screens and motion of the Laker offense to shoot very well and finished the game with a scolding 43 points.

"We did not come ready to play" said Jordan after the loss, "We will let all of you talk this loss up and take the court next time and show you our response." The Bulls definately have a target on their backs and teams will surely be up to play them every night.

"When you keep saying how great you are" said Shaquil Oneal, "Expect others to make you prove it."
