Suspension and Signing Announced for Flyers

The league department of player safety this morning doled out a 5 game suspension for Braydon Coburn. This stems from his hit from behind, and game misconduct call that came early in the Buffalo game. Coburn nearly put Joel Ward five rows deep as he pummeled him from behind into the boards.

To fill the void of the cornerstone defenseman, as well as the absence of Mark Streit, the Flyers signed veteran D-man Bryce Salvador to a one year contract. Rumor has it's value at about $500k. Salvador plays a stay at home game and will likely be on the third pairing with young Lokken-Ostli.
