Recruiting:
1) Take hard commits during the regular season away completely and put in logic that may allow a verbal to re-think his commitment before NSD(coach getting fired, losing season, assistant coach getting another job etc.) IRL no commitment is binding until the LOI is signed.
2) Allow assistant coaches to have a roll in recruiting. Bring back the points system they had before where a grad asst, assistant coach or head coach would call. Each had a different set of points alloted that they could use to call a recruit. In order to do this they must...
3) Have legit coaching staffs! Even if they have to use the Madden model, allow assistant coaches to have attributes that affect players +/-. Also, the Head Coach should have the ability to choose his assistant coaches when one leaves or gets fired. However, it should be a slam dunk that you can get any assistant you want. Maybe put logic in based on prestige and location etc. Also, schemes should be locked in when you hire new coordinators. If you hire a guy who runs a 3-4 then that should be what you have to run or if you choose to run a scheme different than the coordinator you bring in then ratings take a hit.
Gameplay:
1) Program it so that the CPU takes more time off the clock before snapping the ball. It makes no sense for the CPU to have a drive of 12 plays 1:50 seconds even if they are running no huddle.
2) Global Edits!!! We have guys on this board who have done amazing jobs unlocking certain player attributes that make gameplay worlds better. But, it's a longgggggg grueling process to edit EVRY single player one attribute at a time. Having global editing would do wonders!!
3) Make the slider set the way Maddens sliders are. You can change sliders in Madden in increments of 1 instead of 5; and because of that gameplay doesn't change so drastically. Also, add reaction times to rush defense, pass defense etc.
Presentation:
1) Please find a way to do presentation the way you did with NCAA College Basketball '10. We know you can do it because you've already done it. You had both CBS and ESPN presentation! How hard would it be for you to have Herbie and Musburger on ESPN and then Lundquist and Daniels on CBS??? You have no idea how much more realism that would add to the game.
2) Remove cut scenes ala NBA 2k and just show players reacting normally to whats going on on the field.
3) Gameday atmosphere...Big Game atmosphere...add it! There should be a noticable difference in atmosphere at rivalry games, conference championship games and BCS bowl games. The crowd should be electric at venues that are in the top 25 toughest places to play.
