If you are not in the New York area, you are probably not going to have any idea what this entry is about - but if you ARE, then you probably understand it very well...

Mike Francesa simply ridicules any caller who presents a pro-Jet mindset. Why can't he simply understand that Jets fans are excited and happy to have something to look forward to? (even if most Jet fans simply realize it's just a hope that will probably be torn down, again, as if we need any more pain and heartbreak)

Instead, he simply destroys Rex Ryan - who delivered more in one season than most thought possible. The Mangini Jets, after Favre left, seemed headed for moderate (if not complete) rebuilding. A rookie quarterback, a rookie coach... and instead of 2-3 years of growth, the team produced one of the great playoff runs in franchise history.

I have watched the Jets for a long time (I wasn't alive for Namath, though) - and last season proved exciting and memorable. Now we have some buzz, some momentum, some high expectations, and most importantly: some hope. That is not to be overlooked for this franchise.

Mike Francesa always tells it how it is, he destroys Rex Ryan because of his tactics not his accomplishments. Its annoying to hear the cockiness of the jets when they havent accomplished anything.

Jets go 8-8 this year, way Overated, QB still sucks ( before complaints come rolling in, look at his numbers ), Defense may Win Championships, but Offense Wins regular season games......
