Baseball Cards - Topps 2011 Series One

Every year, when the weather makes it look like spring will never come, i like to head to the store and see if baseball cards are out yet...

Today I bought a couple of packs of Topps 2011 Series One - apparently they arrived in stores today! It was good to see some baseball players - I only got one Met though... Jason Bay (he HAS to have a better 2011, right? Right?!?) -

Anyway, does anyone else out there buy baseball cards anymore? I feel like it is so much different that years ago...

I used to buy them as a hobby, it's just crazy now, way too many sets, short prints are hard to find(and expensive) and you need them to complete the set, it seems more like a chore to me know to collect them so now I just sell them on eBay.

so cubsfan, you buy some and then sell them on ebay? or just the "special cards" or "inserts" ?

Last year I tried to get back into buying cards. As a teen I loved saving up to buy some cards with a checklist and Beckett by my side. There just aren't any card shops open anymore, at least not near me. Perhaps I'll look for a reputable online dealer and give it another shot this year.
