Felix dominates as Mariners roll to seventh straight victory

Seattle - Felix Hernandez continued the Mariners hot streak by bringing the fire himself on Thursday night. He matched his season high by striking out 14 hitters, with his lone blemish a two out home run by Carlos Beltran in the 8th, and after that the bullpen finished it off to sweep the Yankees right out the door of Safeco Field. The Mariners offense got it going too with six extra base hits, and really the score should've been worse, but Sabathia, and crew were able to wriggle out of danger a few times. Still it was no match for the performance that the King put in, in front of his loyal subjects out in the Kings court. The Mariners will now look to climb above .500 for the first time since they were 13-12 on April 28th, as they welcome the Texas Rangers to town, who will throw Tanner Scheppers (2-5, 6.59 ERA) to the wolves that has been the Mariners lineup recently, while Seattle counters with Hisashi Iwakuma (4-5, 3.59 ERA).
