Walk-off error leads to Mariners win

Seattle - It was a strange way to end such a well played game, but in the 10th inning it was a defensive blunder right after a defensive gem that gave the Mariners a salvage of the three game series. After a two out double by Stefen Romero, Michael Saunders came up and hit a rope that looked for all the world it would get past Ian Kinsler for the game winning RBI. Kinsler dived to his left and made an outstanding play on the ball, only to look in horror split seconds later as his throw to first sailed into the dugout, awarding Romero, who was rounding third, the advance home to clinch the victory. The Mariners will look to carry this momentum with them across the country as they head to Atlanta to take on Ervin Santana (7-0, 2.96 ERA) and the Braves, Chris Young (2-5, 3.99 ERA) will get the start in the opener.
