Seattle - Jarred Cosart was dominant for the Astros, and they got timely hitting early on that proved to be the difference as they salvaged a 4 game split with Seattle. The Mariners lone run came on a bases loaded walk to Robinson Cano in the 5th inning. That was the only real threat the Mariners had all day. Meanwhie the Astros were powered by the hitting of Carlos Corporan, who went 3-4, and Robbie Grossman's solo home run in the third. James Paxton was effecient in his first start since returning from the DL going six innings, but could not get any run support from his offense. The Mariners now start another four game set tomorrow as the Los Angeles Angels come to town. Tyler Skaggs (3-1, 6.06 ERA) will take the hill for the Angels to face Felix Hernandez (4-5, 2.50 ERA) in the opener.
