Royals bats bang Mariners for win

Seattle - The Mariners took a pounding on the mound surrendering fourteen hits to the hot hitting Royals, and couldn't come up with enough clutch play of their own for a 7-5 loss. Alcedis Escobar was the big bopper for the Royals going 5-5 with 3 RBI in this one. The Mariners managed just 4 singles, and two solo home runs to come up with their totals, which just simply not enough to counter the Royals output. Expect much less scoring tomorrow as the Royals will send their ace James Shields (3-2, 2.15 ERA) to the mound to go up against Felix Hernandez (2-4, 2.82 ERA) who is of course coming off a 1 H, 11 K shutout performance his last time out.
