Cano powers M's to end losing streak

Houston - The Mariners finally got a quality start on the mound, and the bats broke through for a huge day as the Mariners routed the Astros on Saturday 7-2. Robinson Cano led the way with a three run blast that capped off a five run sixth inning for the M's, and blew the game open. Then in the seventh the Mariners tacked on two more including another RBI from Cano on a Sac Fly. It was plenty of support for Chris Young who went a strong seven innings only surrendering one run. Blake Beavan came in to mop it up in his first appearance of the season, and the Mariners losing woes were finally ended. The Mariners will now see if they can start streaking the other way as they send Felix Hernandez (1-4, 3.53 ERA) to the mound to face Jarred Cosart (1-2, 5.24 ERA).
