Bronx - The Yankees clobbered Hisashi Iwakuma early and often in this one, as he gave up nine hits, and five runs in just 3.1 innings, and that was enough for the Yankees to hand Seattle yet another loss. The big blow was a three run home run by Carlos Beltran in the 4th that made it 5-0, and knocked Iwakuma from the game. But Lucas Luetge kept the Mariners close until Brad Miller was able to deliver his own three run shot that made it 5-3, but in the end the Yankees pulled back away and the M's mini rally in the ninth was nowhere near enough. Now the M's put a disappointing April behind them and move into May finishing up with the Yankees today by sending James Paxton (3-1, 3.13 ERA) to the mound to face Masahiro Tanaka (3-1, 3.98 ERA).
