M's end rough homestand with 4-0 shutout loss

Seattle - The Mariners were shutout for the second time this week as they ended an abysmal 1-5 homestand with an abysmal looking loss. The bats could do nothing against Robbie Ross all day as batting averages continued to plummet for the Mariners. Other than Brad Miller who moved up to a scorching .363, there isn't another player for the M's cracking .240. Mainly Robinson Cano who went 0-4 to drop his average to .172. Having not even turned the calendar to May, it's still to early to call the M's 240 million dollar man a bust, but still fans are getting restless with his performance. Maybe a trip to his old stomping grounds will do the trick as the M's travel to New York to take on Cano's old running mates at Yankee Stadium. The Mariners will send ace Felix Hernandez (1-3, 3.07 ERA) to the hill to counter Yankee ace C.C. Sabathia (3-2, 4.78 ERA).
